Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in Deceleration & Steering, Vehicle Hardware department in China, located in Shanghai.What´s in it for you? The deceleration and steering system and components are essential to all cars both BEV and FHEV.The DS HW PDS team is responsible for both braking and steering hardware including steering column, steering gear, etc.Volvo Cars has a strong commitment to development of pure electric as well as electric hybrid vehicles and the China design team is responsibilities for several of the applications. We work in close collaboration with our suppliers, support them with quality requirements and lead them in the direction of our expectations. We are also transforming internally and changing into agile way of working using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), which gives our employees additional opportunities to grow and develop within the company and have a broader scope of work, deeper collaboration and taking the ownership of their work.What you will do? As the product owner, you are the key technical leader for the team. You will maximize the value added from the team by owning and prioritizing the team backlog.As the product owner in DS HW team, you will own, build, prioritize, decide and refine, and validate the stories in the team backlog including defects and enablers, the engineering work scope is for both barking and steering hardware, in cooperation with selected suppliers and internal teams within our company. You will be responsible for the short term and long term vision of the team products, and emphasize it to relevant stakeholders. You will participate in the development of story acceptance criteria and draft them when feasible, review and continuously reprioritize the backlog for the iterations including coordination of content dependencies with other POs. Besides above, you also need to participate the extended Product management meeting to review and contribute to the program level vision, roadmap, and also contents presentation, to support the team manager to feedback about the competence needs for short-term and long term development of the owned products. Do you fit the profile You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree or above in Electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or other relevant technical area.You should have minimum 6 years working experience in development of braking and steering HW or other closely related area from cross-functional work in automotive industry with product development in fast-paced environment.If you have experiences in agile way working is preferred. You are fluent in English, written and spoken, and you are used to work in a global environment. Clear communication and transparency must come naturally to you, as well as team spirit and strong collaboration with different stakeholders.
