Game Tester

PURPOSE OF THE JOB/PROJECT The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a keen interest in software quality assurance and the gaming industry, showcasing the ability to meticulously follow instructions from their test lead and execute test cases as specified. Their responsibilities include executing written test cases, identifying, investigating, and escalating failure scenarios, and crafting detailed bug reports to articulate identified issues with technical precision. Candidates exhibiting exemplary performance in their tester duties may have the opportunity for additional training to flex into test lead responsibilities, subject to the flexible daily needs of the program. In performing these duties, the candidate must exhibit a solid understanding of test cases and demonstrate leadership skills by guiding a team of testers through test suite completion. The preferred candidate will possess a well-rounded skill set encompassing people, organizational, and technical abilities. They should be capable of executing tasks successfully under the guidance of their test lead. While functioning in a tester role, the candidate is expected to unfailingly adhere to the instructions of their assigned test lead and take accountability for the quality and integrity of their own test results. RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute test cases and generate detailed bug write-ups on tested software. Conduct and oversee test lead responsibilities, including reporting on tested software. Demonstrate fine attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, terminology, and consistent technical phrasing. Identify, triage, investigate, escalate, and troubleshoot any bugs found during testing.Communicate clearly and professionally with other team members. Strictly adhere to all test and security procedures. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to be clear, professional, and respectful to your fellow testers and test leads. A demonstrated proficiency in learning and adhering to standardized practices and processes. Strong problem-solving abilities. Comfort and capability in dealing with ambiguity. Minimum B2 proficiency in written and spoken English.
