DescriptionGateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an outstanding opportunity for a substance use disorder Counselor at our Mt. Pleasant, PA location. You will facilitate programming and assure the integrity of the therapeutic milieu. This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway residents. Monitors patient behavior. Conducts handbook orientation. Assists patients in the completion of patient assessment forms. Assists with phone calls to family members/friends and referral sources.

Assists with crisis intervention. Transports patients to meetings. Documents involvement with patients in progress notes. Collects urine and completes paperwork for drug screening as necessary. Provides post-discharge contacts/referrals under the therapist's direction. Completes intake paperwork as needed. Attends mandatory GRC training and in-services. Provides coverage in Youth and Young Adult Program. Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesKnowledge of 12-step programs and/or addictions. RequirementsBachelor’s Degree Other RequirementsPass a PA Criminal Background CheckObtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances Pass Drug ScreenTB Test Must have a valid driver's license and a favorable driving record.
