GCP Data Engineer

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform. Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards. Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products. Be a productive member of the team. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Teradata. Familiarity with tools used for profiling and optimizing server resource usage. Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle and support multiple projects simultaneously. Essential Skills: Teradata, GCP, BigQuery, MS SQL Server, Data Modeling Proven experience in building data warehouse solutions using Teradata native utilities such as BTEQ, TPT, FastLoad, etc. Strong expertise in writing BTEQ scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) within Teradata. Experience working with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, Azure, or AWS). Strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices. Experience in Teradata-to-Cloud migrations (preferably to GCP) is a strong advantage. Advanced skills in Teradata programming and optimization techniques. Experience in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting Teradata environments to meet business delivery needs. Proficient in data analysis, with strong abilities in writing and optimizing SQL queries. Experience with Java, Python, or similar programming languages is desirable. Hands-on experience with ETL tools, preferably Informatica. Ability to support common database procedures such as upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
