POSITION SUMMARYThe Accountant will be responsible for record to report value stream for legal entities that will be assigned to him/her. He/she will also be responsible on assisting on day-to-day tasks such as daily bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. The accountant’s primary objective is to act as the chief accountant of the company he/she will be assigned to by analysing financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and contribute to the APAC Finance vision and its operations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonth End Closing: Complete monthly closing of books; prepare and record assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information; and calculate and post cost and corporate allocations.Financial Analysis and Reporting: Summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss, other financial statements and provide relevant analysis on account’s flux and trend.Intercompany Accounting: Create and post intercompany transactions including monthly recharges. Analyze intercompany accounts, ensuring all IC accounts are balance within each trading partner.Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, resolve discrepancies between book and bank statement balances by coordinating with Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable teams.Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation, discuss risks and opportunities by analyzing aged and outstanding items.Tax Accounting: Collaborate with tax team on reconciling tax accounts and posting tax related journal entries.Statutory and Compliance: Assist on external and internal audits by providing relevant information to Statutory and Compliance team. QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
