And then we give people the tools they need to use their talent to create a positive impact.Job DescriptionAs our General Foreman, you'll be the right-hand to our Superintendent, overseeing all field and site-specific construction activities. You'll manage budget, schedule, performance, and profitability of commercial construction projects while leading and inspiring the Chandos crew on-site. Effective communication is key as you collaborate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other field staff.Your Duties IncludeAssisting the Superintendent in providing leadership and direction for project activitiesHelping to identify and generate requests for informationPlanning, organizing, and managing all site construction manpower and materialsCompleting required documentation, such as logbooks, safety records, and timesheetsMonitoring productivities throughout the project life cycle and making necessary correctionsManaging subcontractor relationships to maintain timelines and scope of workPromoting sustainable construction practices and minimizing environmental impact.QualificationsJourneyman Status with Red Seal Commercial construction experience5+ years of experience in construction management or a related fieldAt least 2 years in a supervisory roleAble and willing to work off hours and night shiftExtensive knowledge of construction processes and techniques are considered an asset. As the last step in the recruitment process, selected candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment physical testing screen to assess their ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
