Your Opportunity at SECURE As our General Labourer you will be responsible for day-to-day duties on site needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site.This role is based out of Martensville SK. The Team This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the site team. Work Environment This is a full time permanent position working an 8am to 5pm shift A Day in The Life Ensure all SECURE safety policies and procedures are followedBe cognizant of and adhere to any site-specific safety requirementsPartake in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc.Work well with other workersMust be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, cut off saws, stationary balerResponsible for sorting non-ferrous material, cutting material to size and packagingWilling to be trained on other positionsMust have an understanding of all power and small toolsConduct pre-operational checks on equipmentClean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeepingNotify supervisor and or repair shop of any required work to be doneOther related duties as requiredSkills, Experience & QualificationsGeneral labouring and or farm experience an asset but not requiredExperience working with metals would be an asset but we are willing to trainBasic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site, including but not limited to SECURE’s safety and hazard assessment process”Ability to complete safety documentation in an accurate and timely mannerAbility to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materialsStrong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditionsAbility to manage weather and/or seasonal interruptions in work scheduleCertification in WHIMS, First Aid would be considered an assetFit-for-Work each day What's In It For YouAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
