We offer a starting wage of $28.88 per hour, as well as evening and night premiums and the opportunity to contribute to a home-grown cooperative!How Agropur Invests In YOUStarting wage of $28.88 per hour, up to $41.26 per hourEvening and night premiumsFull benefits package: pension plan, group insurance, up to 12 statsWhat’s Involved In The Machine Operator RoleWorking varied shiftsRunning different machines involved in milk productionTake inventory on requestPerform any other tasks related to this positionMachine setupCoordinating production run with packaging and ingredientsHand packing productionBuild / stack productionCleanup and changeoversMachine operationWork schedule could be 5 x 8 hour shifts OR 4 x 10 hour shifts per week at our 24/7 facility. You need to be available to work a combination of days, nights, and graveyard shifts and schedules will vary week to week.What You Need To Join Our TeamApplicants must be willing and able to work all shifts at our 24/7 facility.High school graduate or equivalentAbility to read, write and do basic mathAvailability to work all shifts (day, afternoon, graveyard)Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and nightsAbility to follow standard operational procedures and work in a safe mannerPhysically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentStrong customer service orientationPrevious work experience in food production is not required but is considered an asset.QualificationsDairy Worker License considered an assetA good personal attendance recordA good personal safety recordProven problem solving and decision-making skillsProven ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team memberAbility to multitask and to coordinate his efforts with the other pasteurizersMust have good written and oral communication skillsPrevious experience maintaining production, quality and safety documentationProven ability of effectively using down time for servicing of production equipmentMechanical aptitudeProven ability to maintain a safe and clean workplaceSelf-directed and enthusiastic work attitudePerform all other tasks as assigned by managementWe dairy you!
