General Manager - On-site requirements and travel to other EU locationsDepending on experience, there can be exceptions made with on site presence if you are based outside of Germany, however if you are in commuting distance to Cologne there will be more of a requirement to be on site. Please take into consideration this is an operational role at a fast paced service provider, so having an on-site leading by example mentality is what is expected and travel to other EU locations will be required. Seeking someone with a background in: CRO, Clinical Trial Service organisation which can include central labs or biorepositories We are representing a rapidly growing clinical trial service provider who support biotech and pharma sponsors in some of the most complex and high-value trials across multiple therapeutic areas. Our client has a strong reputation built on agility, precision, and operational excellence.This role reports directly to the CEO and will play a pivotal role in shaping how our client supports trials in a faster, more connected, and more compliant way. Being that go to person that will shape the strategy, accountability and processes, currently and longer term. We need someone who is a hands on leader, who is not afraid to get stuck into the weeds and show the team how to operate if needed - this is far from just a delegation role, you will have unlimited opportunity to shape the business from an operational standpoint, and later commercial perspective. Key Responsibilities:Build and optimise operations across EMEA.Drive innovation across their service areasLead international operations, including majority of sites in Germany, with travel across all sites of responsibility.Take administrative control of all personnel outside the US.Oversee P&L responsibilities, with startup-level financial ownership, starting at an expected $27M carve-out in the US.Develop a high-performing team and create a culture of “can-do” attitude and operational excellence.What We’re Looking For:Someone with a background in Clinical Trial Operations -Proven operator who dives into details, drives results, and does not rely on others to get things done.Track record of success in operations, ideally from a CRO, central lab, or specialty lab environment.Experience with P&L responsibility Exposure to private equity-backed environments as a benefit Willingness to work hands on, travel , and operate in a matrix organization.Strong leadership skills, developing teams and fostering operational ownership.Other related titles and words: Plant Manager / Site Lead / Site Director / VP of Operations / Senior Director of Operations / COO / Chief Operating Officer / Biorepositories / Biobanking / Clinical Research / CRO / CRO Operations / Clinical Services / Clinical Trial Services / GLP / GCP / GMP
