Job OverviewThe General Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the factory, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and profitability. The GM will lead teams, manage resources, and drive strategic initiatives to meet business objectives, maintain compliance with industry standards, and foster a culture of excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management:Oversee daily operations of the factory, including production, quality control, inventory, and logistics.Ensure production targets are met on time while maintaining quality standards.Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Leadership and Team Management:Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, including production supervisors, quality assurance staff, and administrative personnel.Foster a positive and safe working environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.Conduct performance evaluations and provide training opportunities for staff development.Financial Oversight:Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs while ensuring resource availability.Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics.Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.Strategic Planning:Develop and execute long-term strategies to enhance factory productivity and market competitiveness.Identify opportunities for expansion, new product lines, or process improvements.Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards.Oversee quality control processes to meet client specifications and industry standards.Implement and maintain certifications (e.g., ISO, WRAP, or other relevant standards).Supply Chain and Vendor Management:Manage procurement of raw materials and negotiate contracts with suppliers.Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods to clients.Maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure reliable supply chains.Reporting and Communication:Provide regular reports on operational performance, financial metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including employees, clients, and external partners.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the garment or textile industry.Proven track record of managing large teams and driving operational success.Strong understanding of garment production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and certifications.Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market demands.
