Position SummaryThe position will be responsible for leading the entire procurement activities for Vena Japan and will be the external as well as internal interface for all the related activities for both wind, solar and storage projects, managing the relationship with the Suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, finalize and close contracts. Among other procurement activities, the position shall also be responsible for management of contracts including contractual obligations, managing contractual claims, vendors development and management of ongoing contracts, statutory compliance and support BD/EPC team on costing/scheduling.Key Responsibilities■Establishes a professional working relationship with various vendors, focusing mainly on large scale wind, storage and solar projects, maintain a data base for future business prospects. To manage vendors (existing & new) at all levels and develop relationships with commercial and non-commercial accounts that enable achievement of plans and objectives Vendors engagement to have business continuity and achieve the costing within the budgets, with the required technical and safety considerations■Lead and own the ongoing contracts for projects under execution, as well as close the contracts for new opportunities starting from initiation Able to manage, monitor, and control the execution within the overall budgets■Responsible for entire procurement cycle starting fromVendor identification, soliciting the proposal & presentation, techno-commercial negotiations, closing/finalization of orders and contract management. Cost minimization and Compliance■Contract discussion/finalization with various stake holders, tracking pending tasks and closing of contracts in co-ordination with legal team. To have quality of terms, right warranties in place, claims management■Management of contract post award of Contract to Vendors. Work in collaboration with different functional teams like engineering, project execution, quality for material planning to understand of the project timelines, related constraints, and fulfilment of project requirements and monitoring obligations. Lead and support to meet various deliverables for successful project execution.■Vendor development, Commercial evaluation and management for various procurement activities. Business development and costs optimization.■Commercials management viz Insurance support, Statutory compliance. Business development and costs optimization.■Procurement strategy, plan & successful execution of packages required for the Project.■Develop alternative sources/ vendors for imports / high value equipment.■Review vendor identification, validation & approval process & compliance.■Contractual communication with Suppliers and EPCs.■Cost optimization while meeting all the related requirements.Qualifications■Bachelor of Technology in Engineering■10 years experiences in Energy/Utility Project environments■Experience in handling OEMs for large scale RE projects under both turnkey as well as split contracting■Understanding of general finance, taxation, and budgeting■Knowledge related to renewable projects.■Self-Motivated and flexible candidate that can adapt to changing circumstances■Team oriented with excellent communication, organizational, and team management skills, Ability to delegate and inspire.■Operate with efficiency and sense of urgency■Strong leadership, technical, oral and written communication skills, must be able to demonstrate their presentation skills -■Proactive attitude.
