Job SummaryThe General Manager, Technology – Vietnam will lead and drive the country-level business strategy for the Technology business unit. This role is accountable for achieving technical sales targets, delivering sustainable growth, managing P&L responsibilities, and building a high-performing, customer-centric team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring operational and financial excellence.Formulate and execute implementation of business strategies and plans to achieve technical sales targets for overall business objectivesAccountability for overall P&L as well as resource planning and managing operating budgets and costs (accountable for net sales/EBIT/headcount responsibility)Identify talents in organization, define and support personal development plan, and create succession plans of mission critical rolesGeneral ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resourcesProvide business direction by formulating technical sales strategies and overseeing the development and implementation of short and long-term plans to achieve business targets for the country/regionFormulate key performance indicators and ensure tracking mechanisms are in place to support the achievement of team key performance indicatorsDrive business related to key clients/customers. Introduce new/improved strategies and plans based on anticipated changing markets and trendsOversee pricing, discounts and contract negotiations with key clients/customers to facilitate distribution/business agreements and achieve targeted marginsStrategize customer base expansion based on the effectiveness of sales strategies/plansSystematically develop a customer base to penetrate the key new customer marketDrive a culture of continuous improvement on sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc., to improve sales targetsDevelop and build long-term strategic relationships with key clients and customers to achieve business objectivesManage and develop a high-performing dedicated team and an effective organization structureRecommend process improvement opportunities and execute changesIdentify talents in organization, define and support a personal development plan, and create succession plans for mission-critical rolesSupport the Managing Director on various projects as assignedFunctional Skills And KnowledgeDemonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of the TEC industry/market/competitors/customersDemonstrate advanced knowledge and a proven business management and sales track record in assigned products/services/systems and an existing network of contactsDemonstrate advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, storage, etc.Demonstrate advanced negotiation skillsDemonstrate advanced research and analytical skillsStrong people skills and communication skills are a must. The role needs to cultivate a talent pipeline and develop talentDemonstrate fluency in English, both in written and spoken as well as the local language requiredEducation & Work ExperienceDegree in Business Studies/MarketingMaster's in Business Administration is preferredOther qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. engineering, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered10 years of relevant experience At least 5 years in Senior Management role with P&L responsibilitiesIndustry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Scientific Solutions (Laboratories) industry, products, services, competitors, and regulatory environment.
