Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) will manage the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring the achievement of key business objectives. The GM will drive sales growth, expand market share, and enhance geographic coverage in line with the company’s strategic goals.

Additionally, the GM will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring effective collection processes, and adhering to acceptable debt and goods balance levels, in accordance with company policies. Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company’s strategic and operational plans to ensure continuous growth and competitiveness. Oversee the execution of business plans and regularly assess performance against set objectives. Organize and manage all business operations to efficiently deliver on strategic plans and meet company goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing key customers, identifying and addressing their needs effectively.

Foster and maintain productive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations. Lead pricing strategy, credit terms, discount policies, and establish customer purchasing limits. Monitor and manage product stock levels to meet current and projected business needs. Oversee purchase order management, including supplier correspondence, to ensure timely procurement. Address any technical or logistical issues with suppliers to ensure product integrity and delivery. Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize costs and operational efficiency. Provide regular sales performance reports to the Regional Manager, including insights on progress and challenges.

Develop and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring financial performance aligns with business goals. Oversee expense management to ensure compliance with the approved budget. Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring efficient and timely collection processes. Ensure all departments are adequately staffed and have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively. Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff to build a high-performing team. Provide technical guidance and leadership to subordinates, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Stay updated on industry trends and developments by attending relevant conferences and events. Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business administration and management roles. Proven leadership abilities with strong strategic planning and decision-making skills. Strong negotiation skills, particularly in supplier and customer relations. Experience with Inventory Management Systems. Ability to anticipate and respond to market requirements. Proactive and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in English is required. Computer proficiency, including experience with relevant business software. Flexibility for domestic and international travel as needed. Skills and Competencies:

Ability to lead diverse teams and drive the company’s strategic vision towards growth and operational excellence. Strong negotiation skills for managing supplier contracts, pricing discussions, and customer terms to optimize profitability and relationships. Expertise in managing daily business operations, ensuring that all departments work together efficiently to meet company goals. Proficiency in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with the company’s financial objectives. Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers. Ability to identify and respond to market needs, staying ahead of industry trends and competitive pressures.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices to optimize stock levels and supply chain efficiency. Proactive in identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions to ensure business continuity and growth. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders. Adept with modern business software tools, including inventory management systems, CRM, and financial reporting tools. Fluency in English is required. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by the role.
