Under the direction of the Department Chair/Dean of General Education, the Adjunct English Instructor will provide instruction for General Education English courses on-ground at the Orlando Campus including (but not limited to): English Composition, English Composition with Research, and/or Effective Speaking on a quarter-by-quarter appointment. Instructors are required to evaluate students’ progress, communicate with Faculty Leads for subject matter questions, and return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College Expectations.RequirementsA minimum of an acceptable master’s degree in English (doctorate preferred) or an earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in English; andExperience teaching English in the higher education setting. (Experience in ground and online instruction preferred).
