Generative AI Engineer

Position Overview We are seeking an innovative AI Engineer with expertise in generative AI to build cutting-edge applications that transform how architects and designers interact with BIM data. This role will focus on developing generative AI systems for architectural design, optimization, and automation. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement generative AI applications for building design and optimization Develop LLM-powered interfaces for natural language interaction with BIM data Build multimodal AI systems that understand both textual requirements and 3D spatial data Design prompt engineering strategies and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems for architectural knowledge Create AI agents and workflows for automated design generation and validation Implement fine-tuning and adaptation of foundation models for architecture domain Develop evaluation frameworks for assessing AI-generated designs (structural integrity, code compliance, aesthetics) Build user-facing AI features and integrate them with existing design tools Collaborate with architects and designers to understand use cases and requirements Research and prototype novel generative AI techniques for 3D design Ensure AI systems meet safety, reliability, and ethical standards Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field 3+ years of experience working with AI/ML systems, with focus on generative AI Strong expertise with large language models (GPT, Claude, Llama, etc.) Experience with generative AI frameworks and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) Proficiency in Python and modern AI development tools Knowledge of prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and in-context learning techniques Experience with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems Understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms Ability to prototype and iterate quickly on AI applications Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking for novel AI applications Preferred Qualifications Experience with text-to-3D or image-to-3D generation systems Knowledge of diffusion models and their applications in design Familiarity with multimodal models (CLIP, vision-language models) Understanding of AEC industry workflows and challenges Experience with agent-based AI systems and tool use Knowledge of computational design and parametric modeling Experience with fine-tuning and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) Background in computer graphics, CAD, or architectural technology Experience building production AI applications with proper monitoring and safety measures
