Preventative Aftercare is an affiliate of GJR and provides community-based mental health services across PA and OH. About The RoleThe Regional Mental Health Program Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and coordinating mental health services across multiple counties, including Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Lebanon in Pennsylvania.

This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered mental health programs that comply with regulatory standards and meet community needs. The supervisor will lead a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance service effectiveness and staff development. They will also collaborate with local agencies, stakeholders, and healthcare providers to promote integrated care and resource sharing. Ultimately, this role aims to improve mental health outcomes by managing program operations, monitoring performance metrics, and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives regionally. Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field.

Consideration may be given applicants with extensive community-based mental health services and a BA or BS degree in psychology or a human service related field. At least three years of experience in mental health program management or clinical supervision. Knowledge of mental health regulations, community resources, and evidence-based treatment models. Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work effectively across multiple locations and coordinate regional program activities. Preferred QualificationsLicensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent clinical licensure. Experience working within public health or community mental health systems in Pennsylvania.

Familiarity with grant writing, funding management, and program evaluation methodologies. Proficiency in data management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual abilities or experience serving diverse populations. ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support mental health program staff across multiple county locations, ensuring adherence to clinical and administrative policies. Coordinate program planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet community mental health needs and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies to enhance service delivery. Monitor program performance through data analysis, reporting, and quality assurance activities to identify areas for improvement.

Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to staff to foster a skilled and motivated workforce. Manage budgets, resources, and operational logistics to ensure efficient program functioning across all assigned counties. Respond to complex client or staff issues, providing problem-solving and conflict resolution as needed. Stay current with mental health trends, policies, and best practices to inform program enhancements and staff education. SkillsThe required skills enable the supervisor to effectively lead and manage mental health programs by applying clinical knowledge and administrative expertise to daily operations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with staff, clients, and external partners to foster a supportive and productive environment. Analytical skills are used to interpret program data and implement quality improvement strategies that enhance service delivery. Leadership and conflict resolution skills help in mentoring staff and addressing challenges proactively. Preferred skills such as licensure and familiarity with funding processes further empower the supervisor to navigate regulatory landscapes and secure resources that sustain and expand mental health services regionally.
