Georgia Emergency Spill Response is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our fast-paced field operations, optimize logistics, and lead high-performing response teams. We're looking for someone who thrives in high-pressure environments, understands federal and state compliance, and can execute strategy with precision—from incident response to internal processes.

What You’ll Be DoingLeading day-to-day operations across spill response, dispatch, logistics, compliance, and equipment readinessDeveloping and enforcing SOPs for emergency response, site remediation, and incident documentationManaging the rapid deployment of field teams and ensuring top-tier service deliveryTranslating executive vision into KPIs, process improvements, and growth strategiesCollaborating with the CEO, CFO, and CMO on scaling, cost efficiency, and market expansionEnsuring compliance with EPA, OSHA, DOT, and all relevant regulatory bodiesBuilding a culture of safety and accountability throughout all operational departmentsRecruiting, developing, and mentoring field managers, supervisors, and key staffOverseeing vendor relationships, subcontractor performance, and customer satisfactionMonitoring job progress from dispatch through final report and client follow-upWhat We’re Looking For7+ years of leadership experience in emergency response, environmental services, industrial cleanup, or related fieldDeep knowledge of EPA, OSHA, DOT, and HAZMAT regulationsProven success leading field teams in high-stakes, compliance-driven industriesStrong operational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to stay calm, decisive, and effective under pressureBachelor's in Business, Environmental Science, or Operations (preferred)HAZWOPER Certification (preferred or willing to obtain)What We OfferCompetitive salary (based on experience) + performance incentivesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and holidaysCompany leadership position with the opportunity to make a lasting impactStrong team culture focused on excellence, safety, and serviceSchedule & ExpectationsFull-time | On-Site / HybridMust be available for rapid response oversight as neededOccasional field visits and equipment reviews requiredMust be capable of directing logistics and inspecting operations in field conditionsIf you're an operational powerhouse with experience in emergency response and a passion for driving results, we want to hear from you.
