With expertise in marine structures, coastal processes, oceanography, and port planning, PRDW delivers innovative engineering solutions tailored to client needs.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Geotechnical Engineer based in the City of Cape Town. The Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and geological data, designing foundations, and preparing detailed geotechnical engineering reports. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting project planning, and assisting with project execution to ensure compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.QualificationsEngineer – B.Sc (Civ. Eng) with 5 to 12 years’ post-qualification experience and a track record in the design and implementation of heavy civil engineering projects (for example - bridges, culverts, reservoirs, canals).Further studies are an advantage.Professional engineering certification or registration is an advantage.Experience in Site Investigation and analyzing diverse geotechnical conditions.Strong knowledge of Soil mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering principles.Expertise in Engineering Geology and its application in infrastructure projects.Proficient in Foundation Design and related technical computations.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
