We are proud to be recognized on the Forbes Top 50 Global Employers List.The RoleThe purpose of this role is to maintain and extend the life of GET equipment according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and standards to ensure an effective performance contract through:Machine availabilityEffective customer relationsSafety, health, and environmental effectivenessKey Responsibilities:Conduct drill rig evaluation to determine if drilling parameters (i.e. rotation, feed and air pressure) are aligned as required and alert the machine operator to adjust the parameters accordingly when necessary.Inspect and test GET equipment as per OEM standards and specificationsIdentify faults on the GET equipment and report them accordingly to your Supervisor for remedial action.Perform scheduled maintenance on the hammers to extend equipment lifeAnalyse all Sandvik rock tools removed from the machines to determine the cause of failure.Complete or write out a failure analysis report for every rock tool product examined.Conduct regular scrap analysis and ad hoc investigations to determine the reason/s for premature product failure.Your profile:Grade 12/EquivalentGET Level 1 & 2 certificate of competence (advantageous)English proficiencyValid code 10 or 14 driver’s license with a minimum of two years of driving experience.Physical and medical ability to function in a mining environmentFirst Preference will be given to the local community How To ApplyPlease apply online through Workday (ESS) or access the Sandvik website www.home.sandvik/en/careersApplications close: 12 November 2025Please note that, should you not receive any response from us within 14 days, your application has been unsuccessful; we however thank you for your interest in our company.
