The GFS China Site & Transformation Lead champions operational excellence by identifying, prioritizing, and driving transformation initiatives in China. This role is deeply involved in the execution of process improvement and transformation projects, actively driving implementation, coordinating resources, resolving challenges, and ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and broader business goals while advancing sustainable improvement in concert with GFS global strategy.As the main liaison between China, GFS APAC, and global teams, the Site & Transformation Lead guarantees clear communication and effective project facilitation, all while managing daily operational and business-as-usual (BAU) activities under the Transaction Office to uphold full compliance with AZ standards and local regulations.With a strong focus on milestone tracking, risk management, and issue resolution, the Site & Transformation Lead delivers measurable progress across transformation and continuous improvement efforts within finance operations. Through outstanding stakeholder engagement, governance, and leadership, the role builds collaborative, high-performing teams and delivers sustained value to the organization.Typical AccountabilitiesStrategy Leadership & Governance: Define and align the strategic direction for GFS China with GFS global objectives, ensuring operational initiatives support broader business goals. Establish governance, policies, and controls that uphold AZ standards, local regulatory compliance, and effective risk management. Partner with IT, Finance, GFS APAC, GPO/GPDD and the Global Digital/Technology teams to drive integrated execution of process and technology transformation.Transformation And Change Management Identify and drive transformation opportunities that enhance operational excellence and advance innovative finance solutions. Lead process improvement and change projects to promote sustainable transformation across finance operations, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and support. Champion agility, act as the main escalation point for project risks and issues and enable timely resolution throughout transformation journeys.Program And Stakeholder Management Oversee end-to-end delivery of transformation programs, including milestone tracking, risk management, and issue resolution Act as a key facilitator between China, IT, GFS APAC, and global teams, building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups Coordinate complex transformation projects using advanced project management, clearly communicate progress and challenges, and balance priorities, timelines, and resources to support informed decisionsSite Development And Growth Guide the evolution of the GFS China site, including business expansion, operational scalability, and capability development Proactively assess market and regulatory trends, adapting site practices to support strategic growth Cultivate external relationships and partnerships to further site innovation and competitive positioningOperational Excellence & Lean Digital Drive the adoption of lean digital practices and continuous improvement methodologies Ensure operational activities are executed with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance Leverage digital technologies to optimize processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and deliver measurable performance improvementsPeople Leadership & Talent Development Build and inspire high-performing, collaborative teams committed to operational and transformation excellence Foster a culture of growth, inclusivity, and continuous learning through targeted talent development initiatives Provide mentorship and guidance, promoting leadership capability and succession planning within the siteEssentialEducation, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Drive cross-functional teams in delivering digital and operational transformation projects within dynamic finance environments. Apply project and program management principles to coordinate process improvement initiatives, balancing competing priorities, resources, and timelines. Act as a single point of contact for GFS China, providing operational guidance and facilitating process migrations, stabilisation, and optimisation. Experience in implementing governance best practices and change management strategies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Translate digital strategy and transformation methodologies into practical process improvements and workflow enhancements. Engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive capability growth and effective service delivery within the shared services hub. Maintain a strong customer focus and results-driven approach, supporting sustainable business value through continuous improvement efforts. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business challenges. Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication in English & Mandarin; able to present complex information to senior stakeholders. Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience managing transformation in finance, shared services, or similar environments.Desirable Conceptual Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform products (PowerBI, PowerApps, Power Automate etc) Exposure to large-scale digital transformation initiatives, ideally within multinational organizations. Experience implementing RPA, AI, or other automation technologies in finance processes Experience applying agile methodologies to transformation or process improvement projects.
