Drafter

In this role, you will collaborate directly with our project managers and production supervisors to turn conceptual designs into functional shop drawings used by our production team to manufacture Trade Show exhibits and Architectural Millwork projects.

ResponsibilitiesCreate functional 2D and 3D shop drawings that include accurate and clearly labeled measurements, materials, and finish specificationsFollow company CAD guidelines on data storage, directory structure/naming conventions, construction methods, and CAD drawing layout standardsCollaborate and communicate with project managers and shop foreman through all phases of projectTrack and report time spent on individual projectsUse critical problem solving to derive solutions from partial design specificationsWork efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlinesQualificationsHigh School Degree, advanced degree or technical certification preferredMinimum 4 years experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architectural or InventorAbility to create both 2D and 3D shop drawingsKnowledge of Architectural Millwork and Construction MethodsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalA strong collaborative attitude and ability to work well in a team settingGreat organizational skills and high attention to detail
