Location: Lichtenburg, North West, South AfricaAfrimat Industries (Pty) Ltd, based in Lichtenburg has a vacancy for a:GIT Mechanical EngineerAfrimat is seeking the services of a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the maintenance team for Afrimat Lichtenburg. The successful candidate will move between all maintenance functions and will report to the Maintenance Engineer.Minimum Qualification / Requirements / Competencies Grade 12 BSC Mechanical Engineering Degree Valid Driver’s License Willing and fast learner with a self-driven attitude A good theoretical demonstration of Mechanical Engineering principles Positive attitude to work in a Process Plant environment Theoretical demonstration of problem-solving skills Knowledge of mechanical, and electronic equipment and engineering principles in heavy machinery industry. Technical knowledge required for in-depth Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations. Theoretical knowledge of process plant and equipment optimization. Good interpersonal skills Communication skillsDuties And Responsibilities (not Limited Not) Complete Afrimat engineering intern program Assist with multiple maintenance improvement projects across Afrimat. Attend site meetings to understand operational conditions. Assist with improving maintenance and availability of mining equipment. Outstanding records of academic achievement. Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
