Job Description

The Accounting Officer is primarily accountable for the Division’s reconciliation requirements for Fiduciary Accounting. It includes ensuring accuracy and validity of General ledger Balances.Core ResponsibilitiesOversees and reviews reconciliation of transactions and preparation of proof sheets for bookingEnsures immediate resolution of discrepanciesMaintains monitoring reports for the aging of outstanding cash variances and float itemsEnsures continuous improvement of processes for operational efficiency and to minimize operating risksEnsures that Unit conforms to prescribed AMTC's policies, procedures and control measuresEnsures continuous training and skills upgrading of personnel under his supervisionEnsure proper upkeep of working area, furniture, computer and office equipment assigned to the UnitQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in General Ledger reconciliationsStrong understanding of fiduciary accounting principlesFamiliarity with reconciliation processes and float resolutionExperience managing GL-related discrepancies and coordinating with internal unitsKnowledge of AMTC policies, procedures, and control measures
