In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.Cleared Collateral Management is a part of Margin, Collateral & Valuations Operations (MCVO) which sits within the Global Banking & Markets division. The primary objective of the department is the mitigation of counterparty credit risk through the active monitoring of clients' derivatives, prime brokerage, GS execution & clearing, derivatives clearing and securities financing portfolios.The team manages a wide range of complex processes with members developing knowledge and skills around derivative & equity products. The role will involve close interaction with a wide range of areas within Goldman Sachs including Credit Risk Management, Legal and Compliance, Sales, Trading, Controllers, Middle Office, Client Representatives, Client Clearing Services and other Operations Departments. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to possess the below qualifications.Responsibilities And QualificationsMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Validate and issue margin calls for Futures and Derivative Clearing Services clients and ensure calls are met in a timely mannerEnsure timely and accurate settlement of all margin movementsDay to day break management to ensure the integrity in margin calculations as well as books and recordsWorking with Clearing Houses to ensure margin calls are coveredOptimize the collateral with Clearing Houses by ensuring optimal buffersRespond to queries from internal and external stakeholdersActive involvement in projects and initiatives including enhancing the team's process and controlsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesEffective problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to exercise discretion and good judgement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong appreciation of client service Manage risk effectively in the day-to-day processing of various tasks Preferred QualificationsUnderstanding of various financial products and display interest in the financial marketsAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
