The Daebak Company — Seoul, Korea (On-site) Unpaid Internship | Minimum 3 Months🌏 About The Daebak CompanyThe Daebak Company is a Seoul-based commerce & marketing startup that connects global fans with the best of Korean culture through subscription boxes, creator collaborations, and data-driven brand consulting.Our Unbox Korea program works with 100–500 global creators per project, generating surveys, reviews, and customer insights that help Korean brands understand overseas markets and expand globally.We are now building a data-driven engine that manages global customer segments (country, age, interests, repurchase rate, product preferences, etc.) and provides meaningful insights to Korean brands.🔍 Role: Global Data & Commerce Strategy InternAs part of our new data initiative, you will support the full cycle of collecting, analyzing, and organizing global customer & creator data. This role is ideal for someone interested in:Data analysisCRM / customer segmentationMarket researchProduct planningLight data engineering (basic structure understanding)AI-ready raw data preparationGlobal commerce & brand consultingYou don’t need deep tech skills yet — curiosity and strategic thinking are more important.🧩 Responsibilities1. Customer & Creator Data ManagementManage customer & influencer data collected through surveys (Shopify, Google Forms, Email Provider apps, Typeform, etc.)Build segmentation models (country, age, interest, purchase behavior, repurchase patterns, favorite brands/products, etc.)Maintain our internal CRM dashboards for Unbox Korea and ecommerce customers.2. Data Cleaning & StructuringClean raw data for accuracy and consistency.Label and categorize customer responses for future AI training and analysis.Prepare datasets that will later connect to AI-based recommendation systems.3. Market & Consumer InsightsAnalyze data to produce short insight reports for Korean brand partners.Identify global trends relevant to K-beauty, K-lifestyle, food, and culture.Support decision-making for brand partnerships and product development.4. Cross-Team CollaborationWork with the Creator Management team, E-commerce team, and Brand Partnership team to coordinate data needs.Communicate results clearly to non-technical teams.5. Light Planning & Product Development SupportContribute to planning future AI-based recommendation features.Suggest improvements to our survey flow, customer journey, and retention strategy.🧠 What You’ll LearnHow a global K-culture commerce platform uses data to growCRM fundamentals and segmentation designPractical data analytics workflowsHow to analyze global consumer behaviorHow to build dashboards and simple pipelinesHow to generate actionable brand insightsEarly-stage startup execution & cross-team communication🛠 Preferred SkillsBasic experience with Excel/Sheets analysisFamiliarity with Notion/Shopify/Typeform is a plusBasic SQL or Python interest is helpful but not requiredStrong analytical thinkingStrong English communication skills (global customers & creators)Korean proficiency is a plus but not required🕒 Internship DetailsMinimum 3-month commitment (longer preferred)Monday–Friday, 10 AM–5 PM (flexible depending on school schedule)Interns may receive recommendation letters and credit documentation
