Guided by their Destination 2027 strategy and boosted by their recent combination with travel F&B giant Autogrill, the company is well positioned to realise their ambition to create a Travel Experience Revolution through their many locations at airports, motorways, cruise lines, seaports and railway stations amongst others.PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThe Global Head of Commercial Data & Analytics will play a pivotal role in transforming Avolta’s commercial decision-making through data-driven insights. This newly created leadership position will be responsible for developing and executing a global analytics strategy that enhances: • revenue growth • travelers engagement • operational efficiency The role will act as a strategic partner to commercial teams, embedding analytics into core business processes and enabling smarter, faster decisions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data science, commercial analytics, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong understanding of the travel retail sector and passenger behavior. This role is based in Zurich. RESPONSIBILITIESLead, Design, execute, and manage a portfolio of qualitative and quantitative research studies to address critical business questionsTranslate information from various sources (e.g., transactional, loyalty programs, market research, etc.) into clear, concise, and actionable insightsCreate and deliver professional, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations for executive audiencesRegularly present strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teamsFoster strong collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize synergies, supporting in definition of relevant business questions and streamlined brief, methodologies and action standards for projectsAct as a trusted business partner, collaborating closely with global and Local teams to embed customer-centricity into all initiatives WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORMinimum of 6 years’ experience in consumer insights within market research agencies or companies, ideally in the FMCG, retail, or foodservice industriesProven track record in leading multi-country research projects and delivering actionable insights that inform marketing and commercial strategiesStrong background in both qualitative and quantitative research, including insight validation and advising on business decisions to identify growth opportunitiesExperience in synthesizing data and insights from multiple sources into clear, strategic recommendations and executive summariesDemonstrated ability to use insights to create compelling narratives that influence decision-making across all levels of the organizationFluent in English (written and spoken); Spanish language skills are a plusExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional collaborationStrong project management capabilities and experience working in international environments or organizationsProficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with AI-powered tools and platformsA strong grasp of market nuances and global perspectives to address key business questions effectivelyPassionate customer advocate with the ability to foster strong relationships across diverse teams
