This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-performing commercial leader with deep chemical industry experience and a proven ability to manage complex, multinational accounts. The Global Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive global account strategies aligned with customer and company objectives. This role will serve as the strategic partner to key global customers, driving revenue growth, leading complex negotiations, and coordinating cross-functional resources to deliver best-in-class solutions. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute global account plans that support both customer goals and corporate objectives. Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts and prospect for incremental business globally.
Lead complex, multi-region contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and long-term business partnerships. Build and nurture executive-level relationships within key customer organizations. Collaborate closely with R&D, supply chain, marketing, and customer service teams to deliver cohesive, high-value solutions. Lead cross-functional, cross-regional internal teams to resolve issues and meet account objectives. Leverage technical knowledge of pigments and end-use applications to guide customer discussions and solution development. Stay current on global industry regulations and ensure all account activities remain fully compliant. Manage P&L for assigned accounts, making informed decisions to enhance profitability and long-term value.
Develop accurate sales forecasts, manage budgets, and contribute to strategic business reviews. Utilize market data, business intelligence, and customer insights to identify trends and develop value-added strategies. Deliver persuasive, executive-level presentations to internal leadership and customer stakeholders. Communicate complex information clearly and effectively across varied audiences. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt leadership and communication styles for diverse global customers and internal stakeholders. Maintain performance under pressure, navigate change effectively, and recover quickly from setbacks. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive B2B sales or account management experience within the chemical industry. Proven track record managing complex, multinational key accounts with demonstrated revenue growth and contract negotiation success. Deep understanding of pigment applications and end-use industries (coatings, plastics, inks, etc. ). Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L at the account level. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and data analytics tools. Must have a valid passport. Working ConditionsThis position requires employees to use their personal credit card for approved business expenses, with reimbursement provided in accordance with company policy.
Candidates must be comfortable with this requirement and possess good personal credit. This position is based in the home office and thus requires discipline, time management, excellent internet, and Cell Phone coverage. The position will require air, road and rail travel to customer locations, other company sites, trade shows up to 45%-50%. Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform under stress, and adapt to changing priorities, duties, and responsibilities Salary Range$150K-$175K + Commission.
