Please join us to discover your own.The Global Logistic Project Lead (m/f/d) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end processes related to transportation and warehousing activities. This role is managing all projects related to logistic topic and ensures that all logistics operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The person will work closely with all operational logistic teams in Central and in Regions, but also with cross-functional teams to lead projects (project leadership but no disciplinary leadership), identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.This is a full-time position located at our Headquarter in Cologne.Job ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Project Execution:Develop and execute logistics strategies to support business objectivesOversee logistics projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives and timelinesSupport regional teams in tender processes and 3PL negotiations.Process Optimization:Develop and maintain global logistics processes and SOPsDevelop and track KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance performance and reduce costsImplement supply chain risk management frameworks to mitigate disruptionsStakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with internal logistics teams, IT, and external partners (suppliers, carriers, vendors) to ensure smooth project flow, optimize coordination, and build strong relationshipsAct as the key liaison between logistics and IT, collaborating to design and secure logistics processes and ensuring seamless integration between logistics applications and the ERP systemOversee the implementation and maintenance of WMS/TMS systemsDigital Transformation & Innovation:Drive digital transformation by implementing new technologies (IA) to enhance speed and accuracyDrive the organization toward a more digitally advanced logistics function, optimizing operations and leveraging third-party logistics providersCross-functional Leadership:Provide leadership and support to cross-functional logistics teams on project-based initiatives, driving high performance and fostering professional development through influence and collaborationCultivate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across different teamsProfileMaster's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transport, and warehousing managementDeep understanding of logistics processes, industry regulations, and best practicesProficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including ERP integrationExperience with digital logistics solutions and transformation initiativesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skillsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects within a matrix organization, including managing third-party service providersExcellent communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skillsLean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience is a plusWillingness to travel (20-30%) to various warehouse and transport locationsFluent English skills are required, german skills of advantageAdditional InformationWhat you can expect from us:30 days paid vacation per yearFlexible working hoursRIMOWA Essential Cabin suitcase as a gift after the probationary periodCorporate benefits and 30% discount on the RIMOWA assortmentCompany pension scheme with a high employer contribution or other capital-forming benefitsGreat canteen with freshly cooked and affordable mealsUrban Sports Club membership, public transportation ticket & job bike (partly subsidized)International environment and development opportunities within LVMHBECOME PART OF RIMOWA:Please send us your complete application documents including your salary requirements and details of your possible starting date.We look forward to receiving your application!Look for us on Instagram @RIMOWA or visit us on our RIMOWA Career page: https://career.rimowa.com/Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to RIMOWA’s DNA.
