The OpportunityThe Electrical Plant Design team (TPE) is part of engineering at HVDC, with the electrical design responsibilities for our green field HVDC Projects on a global scale. We are currently around 130 employees operating from 6 countries. We engineer the Auxiliary Power System of HVDC converter stations and the station cabling. From drawings to installation support and final documentation, we bring electrical systems to life - driving the green energy transition in close collaboration with our Plants Civil Engineering, Plants Mechanical Engineering and Plants Project Management offices.We are now looking for a Global Manager that will be our driver in the Plant electrical technology developments and the securement of Quality in projects to join our team! You will lead, mentor and guide our most senior people globally, where you will have team members in Sweden, Germany, North America and India.This position will be based in Ludvika or Västerås.How You Will Make An ImpactManage all employee related activities such as recruitment, onboarding, creating opportunities for training & development, planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsAddress escalated issues, troubleshooting challenges, and together with your global team implement strategic technical solutions for all Plants Electrical teamsLiaise with stakeholders and promote cross-functional collaboration and transparency.Planning for project and base design staffing, adjusting it according to business needsDrive quality and productivity improvements in projects through target setting, monitoring and benchmarkingPartnering with the Plant Electrical management team to develop, improve, and implement strategic people management initiatives and ensure processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences.Ensure, together with your team, compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to operations/project execution and share Project best practices and lessons learned across the organizationYour backgroundYou hold a degree in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering, and have experience working on complex industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.You have a strong track record of working in cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively across disciplines such as civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.You are an excellent communicator with the ability to build trust and foster engagement in diverse, international teams.You bring a strategic mindset and can balance technical decisions with business goals, timelines, and risk management.You are passionate about developing people and building strong teams, especially by supporting senior engineers and encouraging knowledge sharing.You have previous experience as a people leader, ideally in a dynamic and global organization, and are comfortable building strong relationships with both employees and senior management.What We OfferCollective agreementFlexible working timeHealth care and wellness allowanceFantastic career possibilities within Hitachi Energy both within Sweden and globallyMentor to support you throughout onboard phaseVarious trainings and education supporting employee development Diversified company with over 70+ nationalities working in SwedenSupplementary compensation for parental leaveEmployee Benefit Portal with thousands of discounts and perksMore About UsAre you ready for an exciting new challenge?
