Global Trade & Duty Operations Analyst

About the RoleSavant is looking for a Tax & Trade Compliance Specialist to support our growing global trade and indirect tax operations. The role focuses on monitoring VAT/GST rules, customs regulations, and international shipping requirements while maintaining compliance databases and ensuring accuracy in landed cost calculations.You’ll collaborate with operations, product, and sales teams to provide quick, accurate compliance insights and leverage AI tools for tracking regulatory updates and maintaining reference materials.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack and analyze global indirect tax (VAT, GST, sales tax) and customs regulation updates.Maintain internal compliance databases, FAQs, and country-specific documentation.Research landed cost components such as duty rates, taxes, and fees.Audit internal workflows and ensure procedures align with trade and tax rules.Collaborate across teams to validate compliance logic in systems and operations.Support internal training and prepare summaries of policy changes.Use AI tools to monitor, summarize, and organize regulatory information efficiently.Qualifications1–2 years of experience in indirect tax, customs, logistics, or related areas.Knowledge of VAT/GST, customs clearance, and cross-border e-commerce.Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and strong English communication skills.Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using AI tools in compliance tasks.PreferredExperience with customs brokerage or automation tools (e.g., Parabola).Exposure to documentation, training, or project management.Life at SavantOur facility is conveniently located in Sabaneta, with options for hybrid work arrangements.Support for educational pursuits and family life.Recognition for tenure with additional leave days post your first year.CEIPA University partnership providing exclusive discounts for undergraduate and graduate programs.Special Discounts at Smartfit.
