Client: Government of AlbertaWork Location: 12360 - 142 ST, Edmonton, Alberta, CAN, T5L 2H1, OnsiteEstimated Start Date: 1/12/2025Estimated End Date: 31/07/2026#Business Days: 169.00Estimated Hours per Day: 7.25Maximum Duration of Extension: 12 MonthsDescriptionThis is a unique role that requires a physically fit individual to perform administrative tasks, general warehouse duties, be competent driving reach trucks, as well as experienced in safely using material handling equipment. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to being successful in this role.Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the Shipping and Inventory Coordinator is jointly responsible for the shipping and receiving of products including high-security and serialized materials, tracking shipments of orders, distribution of departmental mail, organization of stock, cyclic inventory counts and reconciliation of all materials, general warehouse duties, and answering client inquiries over the phone, e-mail or in person as required.Responsibilities IncludeAccurately pick, pack and ship all orders within 24-48 hours of receipt or within established service level time frames demonstrating strong attention to detailPhysically fit - able to consistently lift boxes weighing 35lbs and able to be on feet lifting, bending reaching, following OHS safety guidelines and proceduresSafely operate a Reach Truck and other material handling equipment in a controlled Warehouse environment, using PPEAbility to work independently as well as a strong team playerCustomer service focusedAble to problem solve and use sound judgementAbility to use strong verbal and written communication skills when communicating with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to multi-task; and adapt to changing workloads and prioritiesStrong computer skills and ability to locate information in databasesMaintain and update 'Shipping Manager' database and MOVES daily for details about every shipment, strong attention to detail is required.
