🚆 Major infrastructure such as Sydney Metro & M1 Raymond Terrace – Supporting major transport infrastructure with flood resilience strategies🌧️ Catchment-wide flood studies – Helping councils understand and manage flood risk across entire regions planning for a resilient future🏘️ Urban development – Creating sustainable flooding and drainage solutions for communities🚨 Flood evacuation planning – Designing safe, data-driven evacuation plans for vulnerable communities🌦️ Event based assessments – Investigating flood impacts and designing for flood recoveryYou won’t just be running models - you’ll be solving real-world problems, collaborating with experts, and seeing your work make a difference on the ground.

🌦️ What You’ll Be DoingAs a Graduate in our Flooding and Hydrology Team, you’ll:

Build and run hydrologic and hydraulic models using tools like TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, DRAINS, WBNM and moreAnalyse GIS data and produce flood maps that inform critical decision makingDesign flood mitigation measures, scour protection, and cross-drainage systemsCollaborate with other engineering disciplines and contribute to interdisciplinary project outcomesPrepare technical reports and engage with stakeholdersConduct site inspections and walkovers to see your work in action🌟 What You BringA degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental ScienceA curious mind and a drive to solve complex problemsStrong communication skills and a collaborative spiritA keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasksFull working rights in AustraliaInternship experience in flooding and hydrology is a plus—but not essential💧 Tap into BG&E’s Career Development Framework and let your career flow faster than everAt BG&E, we believe great engineering starts with curiosity, courage, and collaboration.
