Graduate EstimatorLocation: Wakefield, West YorkshireSalary: £26,000 – £30,000 (dependent on experience)Hours: Full-time, permanent About the role:Are you a recent graduate with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for numbers? Join a well-established and innovative manufacturer that delivers bespoke solutions across retail, commercial, infrastructure, and hospitality sectors.We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Estimator. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive expert mentoring, and build a rewarding career in estimating and commercial management.Key responsibilities:Supporting the estimating team with client enquiries, drawings, and specifications.Assisting in preparing cost estimates for materials, labour, and installation.Sourcing supplier quotations and analysing costs for best value.Learning to prepare client quotations and tender documents.Maintaining pricing databases and supplier records.Participating in project handovers and team meetings.Contributing to continuous improvement within the department.About you:A degree in Maths, Built Environment, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar.Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.A proactive learner with a keen interest in estimating and project delivery.Confident with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to grow professionally.Desirable:Awareness of construction or manufacturing processes.Experience from a placement, internship, or part-time role in a commercial setting.Ability to read technical drawings or specifications.
