Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Grant Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will oversee the financial aspects of grant administration, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies. This position involves managing grant budgets, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records to support auditing and accountability processes.Responsibilities:• Manage the financial lifecycle of grants, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and reporting.• Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, funding agency guidelines, and organizational policies.• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to grant funding, including invoices and financial reports.• Monitor deadlines and deliverables to ensure timely submission of required materials.• Collaborate with internal teams to develop grant budgets and track fund utilization.• Communicate with funding agencies to address inquiries and resolve issues related to grant administration.• Review grant proposals for financial feasibility and compliance with funding criteria.• Generate reports for auditing purposes and provide detailed analysis of grant expenditures.• Utilize software such as Abila MIP to manage grant-related accounting tasks effectively.• Stay updated on regulations and best practices for managing government and private grant funds.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant accounting or financial management within a similar role.• Proficiency in grant management software, including Abila MIP and NAV (Net Asset Value).• Strong knowledge of government grant regulations and compliance requirements.• Demonstrated ability to develop budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports.• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously.• Effective communication skills to liaise with funding agencies and internal teams.• Analytical mindset to review grant proposals and ensure financial feasibility.• Familiarity with fund administration processes and best practices.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
