Title: Grant ManagerOrganisation: The Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator (CCSA) Work Type: Full-time, 2-years, fixed-term contract Organisation Overview:The Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator Inc. (CCSA) is seeking to hire an experienced Grant Manager to join its growing remote team. On a mission to transform the region’s economy through climate-smart investment, the CCSA promotes investment opportunities that support climate action and economic growth. The CCSA has recently launched The Innovation Fund Caribbean (IF) as one of CCSA’s Lighthouse projects to address fundamental system failures preventing Indigenous projects from receiving essential funding, by connecting more Caribbean projects with funding sources. Job summary:The Grants Manager will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to advance CCSA’s mission and expand its impact across the Caribbean and beyond. Reporting to the Finance Innovation Director, the Grants Manager will design, lead, and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies for CCSA’s operations, core programs, and initiatives. This role will provide critical support in developing high-quality grant proposals, crafting compelling cases for support, and fostering meaningful donor engagement, all while ensuring adherence to ethical fundraising standards. Through this work, the Grants Manager will help strengthen CCSA’s reputation for excellence, enable sustainable growth, and contribute to the long-term success of its initiatives across the region and globally.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Fundraising Strategy & Donor EngagementDevelop deep understanding of CCSA’s structure, goals, and funding needs.Monitor funding trends, opportunities, and best practices to enhance effectiveness.Identify and assess potential funding sources (individuals, corporations, foundations, government).Design and implement fundraising strategies aligned with programs and financial objectives.Build and sustain strong relationships with current and prospective donors.Leverage organizational events and engagements to strengthen donor connections.Plan and execute donor-specific events and engagements.Lead fundraising campaigns through social media, crowdfunding, and digital drives.Grant Writing & Proposal DevelopmentStay current on CCSA programs and initiatives to effectively advocate for funding.Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and information for proposals.Manage the full grant lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, and submission.Develop, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals to meet pipeline targets.Identify funding opportunities relevant to CCSA’s partners and projects.Track submitted proposals, follow up with funders, and maintain updated application records.Donor Data Management, Reporting & ComplianceMaintain accurate, up-to-date donor records in the fundraising database.Monitor and report on donation trends, donor engagement, and fundraising performance.Provide regular updates to the Finance Innovation Director and CEO on fundraising and grant activities.Ensure all fundraising complies with legal, ethical, and industry standards.Support onboarding of new donors with relevant organizational information.Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship ManagementCollaborate with internal teams to create compelling fundraising materials and digital content.Build and maintain relationships with partners, donors, and other stakeholders to enhance funding and collaboration.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in management, public administration, or related social sciences discipline.Minimum 3 years progressive experience in fundraising, grant management, or administration, with proven success in grant writing for climate-focused non-profits or development organizations.Strong knowledge of not-for-profit fundraising sources and the full grant lifecycle.Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills; able to interpret complex regulations and guidelines.Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong focus on accuracy.Able to manage multiple assignments and coordinate activities effectively.Exceptional written and verbal communication, persuasive and passionate, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.Technologically adept, able to quickly learn tools for virtual collaboration.Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.Experience with Salesforce (NPSP) and Asana is desirable.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
