We are a 'disruptive' company in the industry, offering an active, engaging work environment and great opportunities for growth.The RoleAs a CNC Cylindrical and Surface Grinder Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our production process, ensuring high-quality components through precise grinding operations. You'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a range of grinding machines, such as Jones and Shipman and Studer, to work with materials like metal, steel, and alloys. Your technical skills and attention to detail will help maintain our high-quality standards. You will report to the Production Supervisor and work closely with on-site and off-site teams.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate cylindrical and surface grinding machines (JS-Jones and shipman 650 easy and 1000 ultramat-internal, external and universal and Studer S33 universal grinding machine to perform grinding operations on various materials such as metal, steel, and alloys. Wheel dressing grinding wheel managementQuality Assurance: Conduct in-process inspections and use precision instruments (micrometres, callipers) to ensure accuracy.Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and resolve machine malfunctions.Documentation: Record production data and report any deviations or improvement suggestions.Flexibility: Take on additional tasks as required by business needs.What You BringProven experience as a CNC Grinder Operator in precision engineering.Strong understanding of grinding principles and technical specifications.Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and routine machine maintenance.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.QualificationsGCSEs or A-Levels (or equivalent) required.Vocational training or apprenticeship in machining preferred.Certifications in precision grinding are a plus.BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate + shift allowance.25 days holiday, including bank holidays.Pension scheme.Employee reward card.Training passport and conference tickets.Regular team lunches, socials, and events.Free parking, refreshments, and celebratory perks.Ready to Apply?If you are a skilled CNC Grinder with a passion for precision engineering, we want to hear from you!
