This role leads, plans and manages the activity of a large account, and adds vision and momentum to the business. The Group Account Director /Business Unit Director supports the Client Services Director/Deputy CSD by building a strong team; success on the account is seen through creating an environment for great work, being responsible for the profitable delivery of services, holding key client relationships, and delivering the best creative work alongside the overall strategy of the client. This role sets an example to the whole team. Job Description: Builds and nurtures a sound working relationship with client counterparts. Can discuss difficult topics and raise the hard questions that need to be asked to ensure there is understanding from both agency and client. Reads the client very well and proactively assesses the state of the relationship and keeps it a mutually beneficial relationship. Not afraid to call out unfair client practices with composure to ensure that the relationship remains healthy and balanced. Oversees account managers in managing day-to-day operations to ensure work is done on time and on budget, which includes providing guidance on managing timelines, costs, clearing with ASC, preparing actionable briefs and reports. Partners with Creative Lead to ensure creative answers the client brief and meets creative standards. Strategizes the Creative Sell in order to ensure the work of the agency is easily understood by the clients and therefore be easily connected to the client brief and the client’s needs. Tracks and manages scope of work to ensure that client is able to maximize its scope but at the same time ensures that the agency is compensated for work down outside of scope. Spot opportunities to upsell via presenting ideas not within scope but can address client’s objectives. Presents work clearly and can engage in an intelligent discussion with the client.
