ABG produces, bottles, markets, distributes, exports, and retails a comprehensive range of beverages—owning over 100 brands and managing the marketing and distribution of 1,300 third-party drink brands worldwide.Position OverviewAs part of our strategic evolution, we are seeking a Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight across all financial reporting processes.The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and audit processes. This leadership role is both strategic and operational, ensuring that financial practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Accounting Policy & Process Groupwide LeadershipDevelop, implement, and sustain a consistent, IFRS/GAAP/Local Accounting Standards-compliant accounting policy framework across all group companies, tailored to the business structure, industry, and jurisdictional requirements.Design and implement standardized, scalable accounting processes.Transactional Accounting OversightOversee daily accounting operations (including AP, AR, accruals, amortization, intracompany reconciliation etc).Oversee all general ledger operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.Month-End and Year-End CloseOwn and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Ensure timely, accurate close with adequate review and control steps, coordinate across departments.Internal Controls & ComplianceDevelop and maintain a strong internal control environment across all accounting areas.Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and company policies.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop accounting team staff.Set performance goals and provide coaching on process and control disciplines.Systems & Process ImprovementDrive process improvements and automation within the finance and accounting function.Lead ERP and accounting systems enhancements and data integrity projects.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification preferred.8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.Experience in the spirits, beverage, or FMCG industries is a strong advantage.Solid knowledge of accounting principles, local tax codes, and financial regulations.Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.Excellent communication skills and business partnering ability.Knowledge of the Russia language is an advantageWhat We Offer:Competitive compensation packagePerformance-based bonusOpportunities for professional developmentCollaborative, entrepreneurial environmentA chance to be part of a brand-driven, international spirits company with passion and purposeDisclaimer: Stoli Group is an equal opportunity employer that values workforce diversity.
