Job SummaryThe planning team is looking for a Merchandise Planner to build and maintain a balanced assortment plan in order to drive financial and product strategies. You will contribute to pre-season strategy and in-season management of all products within your respective categories. You will leverage data to make informed decisions on the business and drive sales growth. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an Omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.
ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth analysis on current business to inform future strategyDeliver on KPI results such as sales, gross margin, markdown rates etc…Ownership of category OTB (open to buy); sales, receipt flow and BOP targetsBuild strategy behind the assortment plan focused on floor-set lifecycles, trends and CC productivityLead monthly business review and quarterly hindsights telling the story behind the numbers and recommend actionable takeawaysOwn pricing and markdown recommendations strategyTurning the pre-season assortment plan into key item and lifecycle plansWork closely with cross functional teams including Merchandising, Allocation, and Regional Product Intelligence to strategize and execute category plansQualificationsBachelor degree in Business, Finance, or a related field;1-3 years of experience in Planning or Allocation in the retail industryDemonstrate strong analytical skills and a curious personalityAdvanced Excel skillsTo be a great fit, you must.
