GRS Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established international trading company with a 20-year history, who are seeking to recruit an Operations Specialist to join their team in Limassol. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in container logistics, forwarding, or commodities trading to take ownership of shipments and transactions end-to-end within a supportive and reputable business environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOrganise and oversee container shipments (sea and multimodal). Manage full set of documentation including bills of lading, invoices, client and bank packages, inspection reports, and customs documents.
Monitor timelines, loadings, and line schedules; manage demurrage and detention. Liaise with container lines, forwarders, and inspection companies (SGS, Cotecna, Bureau Veritas). Support the transaction process from contract through to final payment. Act as a link between traders, banks, and clients. CANDIDATE PROFILEBachelor’s degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, Management, or Logistics. Proven experience in container logistics, forwarding, or commodities trading (petrochemicals advantageous). Strong knowledge of transport and trade documentation. Good command of English, both written and spoken, with LATAM languages being advantageous. Ability to manage processes independently and ensure successful deal execution.
Knowledge of L/C is an advantage but not essential. Willingness to spend the first month of probation in Cyprus, followed by Cyprus-based or hybrid/remote work with occasional visits.
