Job Title: Paralegal - H-1B Immigration Domain: Recruitment IndustryLocation: Remote (Full-Time)Years: 0-2 Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in employment-based immigration, particularly H-1B visa filings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions while ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple petitions under tight deadlines. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Paralegal DutiesDraft and review legal documents, including petitions, letters, and supporting materials.Conduct legal research and summarize findings for petitions.Maintain accurate client case files, databases, and tracking systems.Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and government agencies to ensure smooth case progress.H-1B and Immigration-Specific DutiesPrepare and file H-1B petitions (new, transfer, extension, and amendment cases).Compile and organize supporting documentation (LCA, job descriptions, employer letters, educational evaluations, etc.).Coordinate with employers and foreign nationals to collect required information and documentation.File and track Labor Condition Applications (LCA) with the U.S. Department of Labor.Assist with other employment-based immigration petitions including PERM, I-140, I-485, TN, L-1, and O-1.Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely submission of petitions.Stay updated on current immigration laws, USCIS policies, and regulatory changes.Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and support audits or site visits as required. Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Paralegal Certificate preferred).Minimum 2 years of experience as an immigration paralegal with a strong focus on H-1B filings.Proficiency in handling employment-based visa petitions (H-1B, PERM, I-140, etc.).Familiarity with DOL and USCIS systems (FLAG, USCIS online accounts).Excellent understanding of U.S. immigration laws and procedures.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and immigration case management systems (INSZoom, LawLogix, Tracker, or similar). Preferred Qualifications Experience with PERM, I-140, I-485, and consular processing.Bilingual proficiency (especially in Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, or Punjabi) is an advantage.Prior experience in a fast-paced law firm or corporate immigration department.
