Location: KuwaitStarting Date: January 2026Contract Duration: 5 yearsJob DescriptionResponsible for ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and technical readiness of simulators. This role combines hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks with technical assistance and support functions. The objective is to maintain high availability and performance of the simulators while supporting the maintenance team with engineering insights and operational guidance.Main Responsibilities1. Simulator Operation & Routine MaintenancePerform daily power ON/OFF, pre-flight and post-flight checks of the Full Flight Simulator (FFS).Carry out preventive maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, visual inspection, and replacement of consumables.Execute basic troubleshooting and corrective actions, including system resets and replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).Maintain accurate technical logs and maintenance records after each training session.Ensure simulator availability, reliability, and operational readiness for training.2. Advanced Maintenance & Technical Support• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on simulators according to established procedures and schedules.• Identify and resolve technical and mechanical issues in simulators effectively.• Coordinate with departments for inspections, performance tests, and external maintenance tasks.• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage spare parts inventory.• Provide real-time technical assistance to the maintenance team during complex operations.• Collaborate in the creation and update of technical documentation and maintenance procedures.• Coordinate with the development team to implement simulator upgrades and improvements.• Deliver and support technical training for maintenance staff on new systems and procedures.• Manage a knowledge management system to support continuous learning within the team.• Participate in performance review meetings and simulator hardware obsolescence analysis.• Support resolution of discrepancies not solved by routine maintenance and contribute to internal audits and quality system updates.• Conduct periodic checks, including QTGs.• Recommend technical improvements to boost simulator performance and efficiency.3. Inventory & Documentation ManagementManage spare parts, tools, and consumables, keeping inventory lists updated.Report failures and maintenance activities through the official ticketing and maintenance management systems.Maintain and update simulator configuration files and documentation.4. User & Training SupportPrepare the simulator, Instructor Operating Station (IOS), and debriefing systems for training sessions.Support instructors and trainees during operation and ensure smooth session execution.Save and provide flight data for debriefing upon user request.5. Compliance & Continuous ImprovementFollow OEM (Customer) maintenance manuals and procedures.Participate in performance validation, quality checks, and preventive maintenance programs.Contribute to improving maintenance manuals, procedures, and local best practices.Mandatory RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in aeronautics, electrical or electronics engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field.Technical Knowledge:Advanced knowledge of computer networks, switch configuration, Virtual Machines.Understanding of digital computer operation, real-time programming concepts, and HLA networks.Experience in computer troubleshooting, repair, and electronics (analog and digital assemblies).Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Working knowledge of visual projection systems, servo systems, and regulated power supplies.Basic understanding of motion systems and hardware integration/testing procedures.Familiarity with aircraft principles: flight mechanics, aerodynamics, and aircraft systems.Experience running and assessing Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).Languages:Proficient in technical English (spoken and written).French and Arabic language skills are an advantage.Soft skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Good communication and teamwork skills.Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.Ability to work independently and under pressure in a training environment.
