DepartmentProperty OperationEmployee TypeProbationaryJob Responsibilities The Handyman – Alteration and Addition is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, construction, and repair tasks related to facility modifications, renovations, and upgrades. This includes carpentry, masonry, painting, tiling, drywall installation, minor plumbing and electrical adjustments, and other general construction works. The role supports small-scale alteration and addition (A&A) projects to ensure guest-facing and back-of-house areas meet safety, aesthetic, and operational standards. Perform minor construction, repair, and renovation works such as installing partitions, doors, shelves, fixtures, carpet fixes, and fittings. Carry out tiling, painting, patching, plastering, and other finishing tasks. Assist in layout marking, cutting, and assembling materials as per project requirements or design instructions. Respond to work orders involving repairs or improvements to guest rooms, offices, and public spaces. Build and install customized furniture, cabinets, and counters when needed. Qualifications High school graduate or vocational course completion (e.g., carpentry, masonry, general building maintenance). At least 1-2 years of experience in general handyman or construction work, preferably in hospitality or commercial settings. Familiarity with tools and materials used in minor construction and renovation tasks. Basic carpentry, masonry, painting, plumbing, and electrical knowledge. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials. Physical strength, stamina, and attention to detail. Basic documentation or reporting ability (manual or digital).
