Los Angeles, CA | Onsite | Non-ExemptKnight is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program & Compliance Administrative Assistant to support critical operational, administrative, and regulatory functions within our programs and compliance team. This role is essential in ensuring our in-house systems are up to date, regulatory timelines are met, and communications between Knight, our Program Administrators (PAs), Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), and internal departments flow efficiently. This role involves a combination of recurring responsibilities and dynamic ad hoc projects, offering a broad exposure to the insurance operations environment. Pay Range: $19. 23-$21. 63 Per Hour.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable. What you’ll do as a Program & Compliance Administrative Assistant? Program AdministrationLog new insurance programs into Knight’s internal program tracking system. Communicate with Program Administrators (PAs) and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to collect necessary program-related information and documentation. Upload and maintain contracts, amendments, and related documentation in Knight’s portal and document management systems.
Provide administrative support to the Program Manager during the onboarding of new programs, Program Administrators (PAs), and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). Coordinate meetings and prepare meeting minutes for distribution. Act as the primary point of contact for Knight’s partners, delivering timely and accurate information related to program and administrative matters. Compliance SupportMaintain and update the Master Licensing Sheet, including tracking expiration dates, emailing partners for renewals, and updating bond information. Manage license and appointment renewals, as well as annual regulatory filings, for multiple internal entities using designated online platforms.
Process payments for annual reports, vendors, departments of insurance (DOIs), and other related invoices. Review incoming Department of Insurance (DOI) complaints and forward them to the appropriate TPA, Legal and Claims team members. Track the status of DOI complaints to ensure they are acknowledged and resolved in a timely manner. Help maintain Knight’s internal compliance calendar and reminder systems. General Administrative DutiesCollect, open, scan, and route incoming mail appropriately. Mail checks as needed. Verify and distribute policies and endorsements. Monitor and respond to requests submitted through the Knight Insurance Group product form.
Support ad hoc compliance and operational projects as assigned. Experience And QualificationsWhat we look for in our Program & Compliance Administrative Assistant?Prior experience in administrative support, insurance operations, compliance, or legal support is preferred. Strong knowledge of insurance licensing requirements and regulatory compliance is a plus. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and follow up independently. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with partners and internal teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with web-based document systems.
Familiarity with insurance licensing and regulatory terms is a plus.
