About the role: We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join and lead our team in Gaming area. All our teams are working closely together in cross-functional collaboration with other teams in Happening, such as Product Design, Data, QA and others. We are looking for the Engineering Manager that will drive the people and technical growth of the Gaming business area. We’re looking for someone who has: Experience in Technical and People leadershipDeep understanding of the software development lifecycleProven experience leading cross-functional teams (e. g.
engineering, design, product, QA, data)Experience resolving complex engineering and communication issuesGreat time management, organizational and multitasking skillsBonus points for: Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining frontend applications or microservices-oriented applicationsExperience in online casino or sports betting products and driving improvements to themWhat you’ll be doing: Leading the team of engineers; reporting directly to you will be engineers (tech leads, software engineers, QAs)Ensure growth and development opportunities for all team members which includes employee coaching and mentoring, identifying and removing roadblocks and distractions, running regular 1:
1s and feedback sessions with team members, performing performance reviews for the direct reportsNurturing a strong relationship with other engineering managers, technical leads and product managersStakeholder coordination: defining priorities, managing expectations, ensuring regular updates and follow-ups regarding the teams’ scope of workSupporting engineering department goals by setting team requirements, goals and timelinesMaking relevant technical and business decisions that ensure predictable delivery in terms of timelines, stability, and performanceBuilding and maintaining the culture of engineering excellence - we don’t cut corners when it comes to quality and reliability
