Hardware Test Engineer

Location: Bali BasedExperience Level: 2+ yearsEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Hardware Test Engineer with hands-on experience in testing IoT devicesand embedded systems. You’ll be responsible for validating new hardware and firmwarereleases, setting up test environments, executing functional and performance tests, andensuring product reliability before release. If you enjoy working with real devices, troubleshooting hardware–software interactions, and ensuring products meet high quality standards, we’d like to meet you.Key Responsibilities• Plan, execute, and document hardware and firmware test activities for IoT andembedded systems.• Perform system validation, integration, and regression testing for new hardwarereleases.• Develop and maintain Linux-based test environments and automated test setups.• Identify, document, and track defects using issue management systems.• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to analyze andresolve issues.• Support factory validation and production testing processes as needed.• Contribute to test coverage improvement and continuous quality enhancement.• Develop and maintain hardware test checklists and reference checkpoints.• Implement hardware automation testing wherever possible to improve efficiency.Requirements• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.• Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware or embedded system testing.• Strong Linux background (command-line operations, scripting, deviceconfiguration, log analysis).• Experience testing IoT or embedded devices (e.g., sensors, gateways, displays).• Familiar with communication interfaces such as UART, CAN, Ethernet, RS485, etc.• Understanding firmware flashing, version control, and hardware debugging tools.• Good documentation and communication skills.• Experience with automation scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus.• Knowledge of test instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, power analyzer) is anadvantage.• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring andtechnical collaboration.• Good English proficiency (written and spoken) for communication with internationalteams.• Eagerness to learn, explore, and continuously improve.Nice to Have• Experience with hardware–software integration testing.• Exposure to CI/CD or automated test framework.• Knowledge of network protocols (MQTT, TCP/IP, Modbus).• Familiarity with compliance and certification testing (e.g., RED, CE, FCC) isbeneficial.What We Offer• Work on real-world IoT and hardware products used globally.• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers across hardware, firmware,and product development.• Be part of an environment that values innovation, ownership, and continuousimprovement.• Supportive team environment with Flat hierarchy✨ We look forward to inviting you to join our team! ✨
