Job Description
Responsibilities: The Material Control position will oversee mill operations, track production and delivery progress, and ensure quality compliance through monitoring SGS test reports. This role requires excellent management skills to coordinate with mills to resolve issues, align schedules, and optimize performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Monitor mill operations to ensure production schedules are met, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks or delays.Track production progress across mills, ensuring alignment with our timelines and consolidated chart.Monitor delivery progress of materials from mills to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays.Negotiate with mills to secure accurate data for consolidated charts and reports, ensuring timely and reliable information.Review and monitor SGS test reports to verify compliance with quality standards, requiring and checking corrective actions with suppliers as needed.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., quality and production) to resolve production or delivery issues through effective discussion and coordination.Analyze production and delivery data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or risks, and recommend process improvements.Prepare consolidated chart and dashboards summarizing mill performance, production status, delivery progress, and SGS test outcomes for management review.Coordinate with production team to align production schedules, delivery timelines, and quality requirements with organizational goals.Ensure compliance with quality standards, and company policies related to production and delivery monitoring.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree or Vocational collegeAbout 10 years of working experience in which 5+ years of experience in sportwear textile/ apparel production monitoring, materials procurement management, or quality assurance in an apparel vendor or brand.Strong knowledge of sportwear materialsExtensive business relationships with domestic and foreign millsEquivalent to IELT 6.5 (English skills including email and verbal conversation); knowing Japanese, Chinese is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).Experience with or understanding of SGS testing and certification processes for quality compliance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with mills, vendors and internal stakeholders.Ability to travel to manufacturing sites, potentially globally, to oversee production.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret production data, delivery schedules, and SGS test reports.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational needs.Benefits: During the trial period (60 days): 85% of basic salaryLanguage allowance, transportation allowance, position allowanceCommuting/parking expenses, business trip expenses are paid separately.Salary raise once a year (April) based on the company’s wage table and performance evaluation.13th-month salary (gross) is guaranteed.Performance bonus is paid depending on the annual business results of the head quarter.Premium health insurance
