The HDD Locator will be responsible for operating and maintaining horizontal directional drilling (HDD) locating systems, ensuring accurate tracking of bore paths, and communicating with the drill operator during operations. Additional responsibilities include interpreting construction plans, performing pre-operation safety checks, and troubleshooting equipment issues. The role demands a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of the work. Qualifications Proficiency in operating HDD locating systems and understanding bore path trackingKnowledge of interpreting construction plans, maps, and underground utility layoutsSkills in troubleshooting and maintaining drilling and locating equipmentStrong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and industry standardsRelevant experience in HDD operations and pipeline servicesEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work on-site in challenging environmentsValid certifications or training in HDD-related equipment and safety practicesPrior experience in trenchless technology and projects is a plus
