HEAD - ENGINEERING & IT

Job PurposeThis role exists to manage, implement, support, develop, and design engineering systems (IP core, Transmission, Power Systems, LTE Core, Voice and IP RAN, and Information Technology) using a cross-functional team of engineers.Key Performance Indicators Interacts with departmental team members to supervise tasks, advise on projects, set priorities, coordinate activities, and complete projects within time and budget constraints and aid Relevant Reports.Responsible for leading a cross-functional (Engineering and IT) team, which is tasked with architectural, building, and supporting infrastructure and platforms for the organization to deliver Projects on time & within budget. Track, analyze, and monitor engineering (IP core, Transmission, Power Systems, LTE Core, Voice, and IP RAN) and Information Technology KPI, and proactively resolve any arising issues. (Achieve 99% availability).Maintain IT and systems security within the OPCO and act as a technical specialist and interface between the Group IT teams, easing collaboration with internal departments to ensure project delivery and innovation.Adhere to Inter-departmental and Group SLAs. Ensure alignment with the group’s strategy and standards for Engineering and Information Technology components.Enforcement of Local IT Security policies and Business Continuity for local systems.Minimize attack vectors, 100% compliance with BCM policy and Standards. Independently research, organize, and analyze technical solutions and prepare reports and recommendations.Consult, meet, and discuss with Group Engineering & IT as well as vendors regarding Standards, upgrades, and new products.Provides updates to senior management in matters relating to all engineering and Information technology systems and projects. Develops, submits, and administers unit and project budgets, including internal and external client needs, to affect completion of scheduled projects and goals.Key Decisions:Decides and consults with Group resources on effective solutions to implement for Engineering (Transmission, IP MPLS, Power, LTE Core & RAN, Voice) and information technology, and decides when to escalate. Accountable for:Providing Leadership for the Engineering and IT Teams for the OPCO.Adherence to Group Standards & Strategy for Transmission, IP MPLS, Power, LTE Core & RAN, Voice & Information Technology.
