Apply now!OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and committed leader for our Trade Compliance department. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global trade and customs compliance strategies. You will ensure that our company complies with all international trade laws and export control regulations. You will lead a team and develop processes to minimize risk and automate trade compliance processes.ResponsibilitiesTechnical and disciplinary management of currently 3 employeesDevelopment, implementation and monitoring of global trade and customs compliance guidelinesEnsuring compliance with international trade laws and export control regulations (e.g. EAR, ITAR, EU dual-use)Creating and maintaining internal guidelines for export control, sanctions list checks and goods classificationConducting internal audits and risk analyses to identify and minimize compliance violationsManaging relationships with authorities and regulatory bodiesDeveloping processes for checking international suppliers and partnersImplementing IT-supported solutions to automate trade compliance processesAdvising internal departments (purchasing, sales, logistics) on the classification of goodsStrategies for utilizing trade preferences and reducing customs dutiesIdentification and implementation of free trade agreementsHardskillsCompleted studies in business law, supply chain management, international business or a comparable qualification Several years of experience in a management role in the area of trade compliance Sound knowledge of international trade and export control laws Experience with compliance software and as well as SAP; very proficient in MS Office Business fluent in German and English SoftskillsStrong analytical and strategic mindset to identify trading risksResilient and goal-oriented personality with a high level of personal responsibilityStrong communication skills and ability to foster a positive working environmentAssertiveness and decisiveness in complex regulatory issuesHigh problem-solving skills and attention to detailWillingness to travel approx. 10%.We offer youAn open and collegial corporate culture Room for ideas Support through further training, especially at our SKAN AcademyIntensive and job-orientated induction trainingShort decision-making processes and flat hierarchiesOpen communication policy6 weeks holiday and the possibility of additional days offTo apply, please upload your complete application documents (resume, diplomas and testimonials) on our career portal.
